Previewing Content with Strapi and Gatsby Cloud

One of the primary advantages talked about going decoupled in general has to do with future-proofing your site. Should new requirements come up for your frontend, the pattern ideally allows you to more easily substitute components so long as the API contract is preserved. In practice, however, it isn't that simple. Whether you're using a headless CMS like Strapi or some other legacy solution, your frontend is elsewhere and will require a number of careful tasks completed to actually deploy the new site. 

Platform.sh, on the other hand, sticks to monorepos. That means Strapi and whatever frontend you're using exist in the same project, and the same cluster. The relationship between them is inherited across development environments, giving exact copies of production to implement changes - including switching out the frontend entirely. This small change makes frontend interchangeability very simple. Your team can focus on getting the kinks out, then hit the merge button to deploy the new version. 

In this talk, we'll cover ingesting Strapi data into a number of different frontends, and take a look at how the Platform.sh development model supports not only interchangeability but a real collaboration between frontend and backend teams at all times.
